77国集团科学与技术高级别会议简介

77国集团与阿拉伯联合酋长国于2002年10月27-30日在迪拜召开，这是发展中国家第一次关于科学与技术的高级别会议。共有57个国家派代表团出席了会议，与会部长级官员有30余位。另外有14个国际组织的代表和80多位科学家到会。我国代表团团长由我驻阿联酋大使馆代办常华参赞担任，我外经贸部交流中心参与组团，另外，我中科院院士周巢尘先生作为科学家代表参加了会议。会议召开的背景是落实2000年哈瓦那南方峰会的有关促进发展中国家科技合作的精神。此次会议的主要议题是信息通讯技术、生物技术和安全饮水等领域的合作。

Group 77 in cooperation with the Arab United Emirates has conducted a high-level conference on Science and Technology from October 27-30, 2002 in Dubai. This is the first high level conference on science and technology among the developing countries. More than 57 countries dispatched official delegations to attend the meeting including more than 30 ministerial level officials. There are more than 14 international organizations and over 80 scientists participated in the conference. The head of Chinese delegation was Mr. Chang Hua, Charge de Affairs, Chinese Embassy in A.U.E. One officer with TCDC division of CICETE and Prof. Zhou Chaochen, China Science Academy attended the meeting. The theme of the conference is promote the cooperation among developing countries on ICT, Biotechnology and Safe Drinking water in light of the spirit of South Summit in 2000 in Havana.
