Hunchun Export Processing Zone (HEPZ) was approved by the state council on Apr. 27,2000. It is one of the first export processing zones established by the state council in the whole state. It located in the State Level Development Zone-Hunchun Border Economic Cooperation Zone, its planning area is 2.44 km and its initial area is 0.6 sq. km HEPZ is next to the Sino-Russian Hunchun railway and highway port, it is located in the triangle area where China, Russia and D.P.R.K meet There are many Chinese-Russia and Chinese-D.P.R.K border crossing ports around here. It is the only Export Processing Zone in frontier and open city, which features advantageous geographical location, convenient transportation and perfect infrastructure.
